Graduation Vernissage Art Direction

Overview
Every year, Dawson Graphic Design Exhibition is hosted by graduating class. Each student takes part to produce a poster design and the winning poster then becomes the foundation of promotional materials for this event.
To design a poster announcing the Dawson College 2022 Graphic Design exhibition, exploring different media and techniques used in both art and design.
The word ‘NOW’ is used because it’s empathizing the fact that we overcame all the challenges together past 3 years and now is the time to show off our skills. Heavy and bold typeface is filling up the most of the space to depict the seriousness and dedication from the students. The three posters with fun and vivid colors represent enthusiasm and excitement from graduating students. Additionally, there was an animation feature added to attract viewer attention.

Overall, the poster was chosen as the top 3 from the entire program. By using the principle of negative space, I maximized the space where I could use the three distinct colors which represented the 3 years of hard work we put in for this program.
